Getting to Regina

Getting there by air: Regina is served by Regina International Airport (YQR), located approximately 10-15 minutes from the city centre and the University of Regina. More information about the airport can be found at: https://www.yqr.ca/.

Domestic air travel to Regina is primarily provided by WestJet and Air Canada.

Upon arrival at YQR, travelers can reach the University of Regina and other city destinations by taxi, Uber, or public transit. Taxi and car rental services are available directly at the airport terminal.

Getting there by car: It takes approximately 6 hours to get to Regina driving from Winnipeg and 3.5 hours driving from Brandon. From Alberta, it takes 7.5 hours driving from Calgary and 6 hours driving from Lethbridge. If you are comming from Saskatoon, it will only take 2.5 hours.

Accomodations

There are several choices for accomodations in Regina. Due to late student move-out, we are unfortunately unable to offer student residence as an accomodation option. Below, we list several hotels situated either in downtown Regina or closer to the university on Albert Street. Hotels in downtown Regina are conveniently located on bus routes (Routes 3 and 30) that can take you directly to the University of Regina campus in 10 to 15 minutes. Hotels located on Albert Street South are closer to the University of Regina's main campus and are also located on public transit routes (Route 4) that will take you directly to campus in 10 to 15 minutes.
